Beware of Scammers and Impersonators
We kindly ask you to pay attention to the information below. We do rely on your understanding and support.
You are all aware of the current trends in the international cryptocurrency market, such as: BTC price fluctuations, mining equipment shortage, unavailability of hosting facilities, etc. Unfortunately, these circumstances have led to an increase in scammer activity in the mining sector.
As a company, we have encountered fraud schemes where our brand and identity were used illegally. Criminals imitate or simply copy our website design and domain name, use our logo and articles in the media to mislead market players and defraud cryptocurrency from them.
We deal with such activities on a case-by-case basis: we make claims, seek to take down fraud websites and delete fake information, collaborate with law enforcement units.
With that being said, we realize that we don't have the capacity to track the actions of all scammers. That is why we kindly ask you to remain vigilant and take the following precautions:
- 1) Please be extra careful when it comes to sending your cryptocurrency to anyone, and never share your private keys with anybody.
- 2) Double-check all information with your account or sales managers at BitRiver.
We are doing our best to react proactively and prevent criminals from deceiving our partners. To succeed in this task, we kindly ask you to assist us and provide information about any fraudulent cases mentioning BitRiver that you or your colleagues or partners have encountered. Please feel free to contact us in in whichever of the following ways is most convenient for you:
- 1) Call your BitRiver account manager
- 2) E-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
- 3) Contact us via DM on social media:
Let's together try our best to keep the cryptocurrency market and the mining industry safe for all.
