BitRiver Partners with NY-based Wattum to Strengthen Presence in North American Market
Investors in North America can now get risk guarantees and after-sales support from Wattum for hosting cryptocurrency miners in BitRiver’s world-class data center in Russia
MOSCOW, RUSSIA, August 5, 2020 - BitRiver announced today that it has partnered with NY- based Wattum Management to provide more risk guarantees and native after-sales’ support to North American customers of its state-of-the-art data center, the largest provider of co-location services for cryptocurrency mining in Russia and CIS countries.
BitRiver’s data center currently utilizes 70MW out of its total capacity of 100MW to provide colocation services to cryptocurrency miners and turnkey bitcoin mining solutions to institutional investors around the world. Its customers are located in over 17 countries, including the USA and Canada. BitRiver hopes to increase its customer base in North America through this partnership with Wattum.
“Through this partnership, Wattum can provide an extra level of security and insurance to those in North America who would like to host their mining machines at BitRiver’s facility in Russia, as well as providing full Management and US-support to the customer. From our side, we take over the legal part and offer the possibility of financing of the equipment. In certain unforeseen events where something goes wrong, we can provide their clients with a machine replacement or even a refund,” said Arseniy Grusha, Founder, and CEO at Wattum.

Russia, which according to Cambridge University’s Bitcoin Mining Map ranks nearly second in the list of countries that account for most of the world’s bitcoin mining, is increasingly becoming attractive to bitcoin miners around the world. Last month, the world's biggest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, announced a partnership between its cryptocurrency mining pool and BitRiver to capture more of the mining activity in Russia.
