The largest data center in Russia for mining
Two industrial buildings with a total area
of 15 500 sq. meters, 250 meters away
from a 220/10 kV substation. Proximity
to the substation reduces losses in power
lines and thus renders the final cost more
affordable.
Data center has good transport accessibility:
railway dock,
asphalt road,
airport
The infrastructure is ready
for the co-location
and operation of miners.

Regions
of the world
with the cheapest
electricity
(USD cents per kWh)
Available
electric power
The Irkutsk Region of Russia is among the top 5 regions of the world with the cheapest electricity, second only to areas of Iceland and Venezuela. It is worth considering that there is no free capacity in Iceland and Venezuela is in the top 10 countries with a high crime rate.
Electricity power is 85-95% of the typical mining OpEx structure.
To increase the profitability of mining need cheap electricity.
The average annual rate for 2019 in Bratsk (Irkutsk Region) for our company is 3.40 cents USD per kWh.
The Irkutsk Region possesses large reserves of currently unused hydropower generation. It's several GW
3.4 cents USD per kWh.
Power
source
The choice of location for the mining data center in the Irkutsk Region is associated with the availability of affordable electricity generated at the station merely 5 kilometers from the date center. The Bratsk Hydroelectric Power Station is powered by the hydro resources of Angara River, heading from Baikal Lake.
The Angara Cascade is the largest complex of hydropower plants in Russia. It is unique in that it stably generates energy without seasonal fluctuations.
In December 2017 we started cooperation with En+ Group which is the largest private energy company in Russia.
Bitriver is the only data center in Russia located in the immediate vicinity of a 220 kV distribution device (switchgear). From the mid-80s to 2007 the distribution device served the heating of water and steam in the city’s heating networks. The substation of Pursey district Energetik was designed with the expectation to work permanently.

Climate
The annual average
temperature
of the city of Bratsk
Low average annual temperature in the region significantly reduces cooling costs and saves energy.
Favorable climatic conditions as well as isolated hot and cold corridors provide optimal operation of the equipments and allow for its acceleration.
Monitoring
THE WORKABILITY
The infrastructure monitoring system operates round the clock. The technicians on duty perform requests for technical support 24/7.
Servicing
REGULARLY
We carry out cleaning and dust removal and monitor the temperature of the equipments in order to reduce the probability of failure.
Repairing
DIRECTLY IN THE DATA CENTER
Equipment repair is performed in the data center by Bitmain trained and certified specialists. In case of repair we keep the necessary new components in our service center.
Operating
ACCORDING TO THE LEGISLATION
We import the equipments officially, pay taxes and work legally. You will have no problems with the law or safety of the equipment.
Protecting
THE EQUIPMENTS
Data center protected by armed security guards of Rosgvardia. The territory has a multi-level access control and video surveillance.
Uptime
We guarantee the equipments will work 99% of the time during their co-location in the data center. The contract provides compensation from our side. An average uptime of 99.93%.
Reliable
Internet access
Our data center has two independent
fiber optic up-links along with a third
option of wireless reserve which
eliminates downtime due to lack of
communication.
Individual
metering of electricity
When placing from 162 devices
we produce individual metering
of consumed electricity for the client.
The counters are installed directly
on the switchboards that supply
the customers racks
(the customer doesn’t pay for losses,
ventilation, etc.)
Reliable power
supply scheme
Any equipment works longer due
to the use of modern systems,
means for the distribution of
electricity, relay protection
and automation systems. The data
center is equipped with a
lightning protection subsystem.
