The choice of location for the mining data center in the Irkutsk Region is associated with the availability of affordable electricity generated at the station 5 kilometers from the date center. The Bratsk Hydroelectric Power Station is powered by the hydro resources of Angara River, heads from Baikal Lake.
The Angara Cascade is the largest complex of hydropower plants in Russia. It is unique in that it stably generates energy without seasonal fluctuations.
In December 2017 we started cooperation with En+ Group the largest private energy company in Russia.
Bitriver is the only data center in Russia which is located in the immediate vicinity of a 220 kV distribution device (switchgear). From the mid-80s to 2007 the distribution device served the heating of water and steam in the city’s heating networks. The substation of Pursey district Energetik was designed with the expectation of permanent work.
